Question for you. A friend wanted Chimor's Daggers so I tried farming them for him as I have a character far enough. It's an E/A and although on the face of it it looks as though it should be simple it's hellishly hard. There has to be something I'm doing wrong here. Someone said it can be easier for eles to go the "back way" but that just seems harder to me...I have to run further and keep putting shadow form up and letting it recharge so I can run past every mob. The front way looks like it could be do-able but his group seems just too far from any of the others so that there just isn't enough aggro.
I also seem to need to put Shadow Form on ... run through the mob of patrolling margonites in front of him ... and deaths charge to him. THe patrolling margonites lose interest in me and Shadow Form doesn't last long enough... So I'm kinda stumped. Any advice for an E/A?

a 20% enchants mod helps, galigords staff etc. i cant remeber the skills margonites use but i dont think they have interuptors (although i could be wrong) in which cause delay casting Shadow form as much as possilble. (the breif stop between running by them and casting shadow form will help keep there agro on u)

Here you go Celestial.
Stand next to that "tree" you first come up upon. And don't expect to go right in, out of the 5 attempts, 3-4 of the times I had to wait for the guys nearest me to go right and the margonites in front of me to go left to open and spot and hope thegraven molioths also went to the right.
When you get near chimor, hope the group next to his is near. Even try to "swing" around to aggro chimor's group while also trying to get the other group. Him being a Sin helps too. He comes to you, you dont have to come to him.
For most bosses, shadow stepping isn't needed. I heard aggroing the group as you run it helps them spread and gives sliver armor a better chance of targeting the boss anyway.

I have a 20% enchantments, +5 energy staff...and the thing is, there is a group of patrolling Graven Monoliths and there is a group of Margonites with a Graven Monolith in it...so I fail to see a way to not aggro a Graven Monolith. I tried runnin past them without Shadow Form but all that happens is the Monoliths cast Signet of Humility and because I can't cast Shadow Form, I'm Margonite food.
Edit: Thanks Green I'll try that tactic tonight.

Add:
Tenezel the Quick - Ranger
Hanchor Trueblade - Sin
Commander Sadi-Belai - Monk
(I added them to Wiki. First submissions :P)
Dark Escape, Shadow Form, Dash, Glyph Ele Power, Sliver, Shock, Lift Enchantments, Obsidian Flame
This works on all 4 bosses in: Holdings of Chokhin
28 Banor Greenbranch (Plant): Shield of Regeneration
28 Hanchor Trueblade (Harpy): Fox's Promise
28 Tenezel the Quick (Insect): Escape
28 Setikor Fireflower (Plant): Lightning Surge
Two tips I have:
For Banor: Pull the rock beetles NEXT to his group, not the one's (fairly) near to the rez shrine ... I made that mistake at first until I saw the bigger group ... Also use Shock + Lift Enchantments AFTER he puts shield of Regeneration on. I've killed him around 10 times and 0 drops ;/
For the others, just pull a group. As I said, I don't use Shadow Stepping of any kind. If you're comfortable with using it, go ahead.
Setikor is closest to Miahnu Township so take off dash if you want and add a offensive skill or put shadow step in there.

have been farming mindclouder and zehlnehun many many times and not one green drop. Do you guys kill any mobs first or wait 10 mins etc before going for the boss to kick anti farming? Could just be bad luck but i kinda figure that after the odd 40 runs or so i ought to get a green and not just some crappy rare scrolls. I have tried to kick any anti farming i might have by using henchies up to the boss mobs then flagging them away but still to no avail.

Same here..
I thought it was just me, but the green drop rate decreased significantly for some bosses in Elona, since around the Wintersday event..
For example, before Wintersday I used to hit Mindclouder with my E/A regularly and I would CONSTANTLY get a green drop after no more than 5-6 runs.. Same for Skybringer.
Well, not anymore for these guys (esp. Mindclouder; but it also happens for Zelnehlun, as the previous poster noted). For some reason, I'm no longer getting the green drops even after many runs. And yeah, I haven't been killing the bosses constantly, I'm doing it at most 6 times in a row then go do something else (help with a mission, quest, etc.).. then come back to them, etc. No blue warning window. But no drops either..

Yeah, it seemes that they decreased the drop rate in order to save the economy. Which is a smart move in the long run (for example Zelnehlunens bow fell from 25k to 4k in a few weeks). Good greens became unwanted greens quickly.

So what? Improvise! Think.... There are so many newbs that never seen Factions greens... If the NF greens fell so much, staft farming Factions greens like the Kaolin Blade for example. It looks superb, and you'll have a good chance of selling it for around 20k despite the zealous mod.
Oh.. and to the OP and all those who helped me.. THANK YOU! I finally farmed the Kaolin Prot Staff for my monk! I feel so proud. I now kill that bastard construct every time. So beautiful. Now if only I could kill the Mesmer Construct - the burning/song of the mists kills me every time, and Sliver wont target him. Oh well, more practice I guess...

I'm not complaining, just trying to explain the logic behind the drop rate nerf. You have a point and i agree, i mostly just farm bosses to get greens for someone that collects them or just to try out which actually can be killed.

After many many times of trying, I understood that for some bosses, sliver armor simly doesnt work because it doest target them. Namely the Mesmer's construct and Sunreach Warmaker. This is extremely frustrating and I wonder if any one can still farm these bosses. Mabe Anet changed something?
I am doing everything correctly, and I saw the videos many times, so that's not the culprit. When I do Sunreach, Sliver will always target one of the Wallows or the Hammer Wardens. It never targets Sunreach with the exception of 3-5 times when I simply got lucky. In the Case of Mesmer's construct, I wasnt able to target him even a single time. I am standing right by him, and I am targeting him but Sliver simply wont target. Same with Warrior's construct.
What is it that people know about using Sliver armor that I dont?
Also does anyone know if Sliver Armor build works against Cultist Rajazan?

I just got my e/a all skilled up and ready to try to farm. Is there any easy bosses I can farm (I am only up to the orchard quest where you have to do the mission by yourself). I think I have most of the towns up to the way to there but I might have to run somewhere if not.
I am just hoping for bosses close to town to start my attempts at learning this build.

One factor that affects Sliver Armor's targeting is armor. I'm not saying this is the only factor as I believe that proximity as well as randomness affect it, but I know this after farming Shrieking Spear and Terror Scythe many times:
If I'm standing next to a Dervish and a Warrior that are trying to hit me, Sliver Armor targets the Dervish.
When I used to farm Sessk Woe Spreader, there was a certain timing for me: when I left town and did the run using Dash, Dark Escape, Dash, then Shadow Form, etc... it would target Sessk. If I stopped for a few seconds for any reason or used my run skills different or none at all, then the mob configuration would somehow change and Sliver Armor wouldn't target Sessk.
One tactic I use is to use Shadow of Haste to run in and let the Sliver Armor kill the melee things (I suppose this only works in Realm of Torment where the mobs are so insanely huge that Sliver Armor is still deadly against bosses without the Dervishes and Warriors). It's slow but it works.
